Sheterica Gordon, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Availability: Currently accepting new clients virtually and in person in Plantation.
Hi, I'm Sheterica. Are you struggling in your relationships, feeling stuck in patterns you can't seem to break, or navigating a major life transition? I work with individuals and couples facing relationship challenges, attachment patterns, parenting concerns, self-esteem struggles, and boundary-setting difficulties. I have a special focus on helping clients understand how early attachment experiences continue to shape the way they connect, communicate, and trust others today. Many clients come to me feeling disconnected, unsure of their worth, or exhausted from relationship patterns that keep repeating.
I specialize in relationship and attachment-focused therapy, and I also offer faith-integrated counseling for clients who want to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into the healing process.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you're carrying relationship pain on your own. I offer a nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. If you are ready to break unhealthy cycles, strengthen your relationships, and reconnect with your own sense of worth, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
My therapeutic approach
My counseling approach is person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma focused therapy. I value integrating faith into therapy when it aligns with each client’s preferences and goals.
Coming to therapy — especially around something as personal as your relationships, parenting, or sense of self — can feel like a big step, and I want you to know there's no "right" way to begin. You don't need to have it all figured out before our first session; that's something we work through together.
I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be honest about what you're carrying, whether that's conflict in your relationship, patterns from your family of origin, struggles with boundaries, or a difficult transition. Expect a space where you set the pace — whether you're ready to dive in right away or need time to build trust first.
