What is Grief & Loss?
Grief is not a problem to be solved — it's a response to love. And it doesn't only come after a death. We grieve relationships, identities, futures we imagined, health, safety, and so much more. Grief is not linear, and there is no "right" timeline for healing. Some days you might feel okay. Other days it can knock the wind out of you without warning. What matters is that you don't have to carry it by yourself. Therapy for grief isn't about moving on, it's about learning to move forward while honoring what and who you've lost.
Common Signs of Grief:
Deep sadness, crying spells, or emotional numbness
Longing for the person, relationship, or life you've lost
Difficulty accepting that the loss is real
Guilt, regret, or replaying things you wish you had said or done
Anger — at yourself, others, or the situation
Withdrawing from people or activities you once found meaningful
Difficulty concentrating, sleeping, or functioning daily
Physical symptoms like fatigue, aches, or appetite changes
Feeling like part of your identity has disappeared
