Learn to Speak Each Other's Language and Build a Stronger Relationship.

Conversations That Connect

Every couple argues. But not every couple knows how to communicate in a way that builds understanding, trust, and connection.

If you and your partner find yourselves having the same arguments, feeling misunderstood, or struggling to communicate without frustration, you're not alone.

Our 8-Week Couples Communication Group is designed to help couples develop practical communication skills, strengthen emotional connection, and learn healthier ways to navigate conflict—together.

Led by Licensed Mental Health Counselor Karen Davis-Torrence, this interactive group combines relationship education, guided discussions, and practical exercises you can immediately begin using at home.

Whether you've been together for one year or twenty, this group offers the tools to help your relationship grow. Healthy relationships don't happen by chance, they're built through intentional communication, understanding, and practice.

Meet Your Facilitator

Hi, I'm Karen.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through some of life's most challenging moments. Much of my career has been dedicated to working with youth in foster care and community-based settings, helping young people navigate the effects of trauma, abuse, neglect, and major life transitions. I have partnered with schools, families, and community agencies, including Broward County Public Schools and the Department of Juvenile Justice, to provide wraparound support that addresses the whole person.

Throughout my career, I have also had the privilege of working with couples who want to strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and navigate life's challenges together. I understand that every relationship experiences conflict, misunderstandings, and seasons of disconnection. My goal is to provide couples with a safe, supportive environment where both partners feel heard, respected, and empowered to build healthier patterns of communication and connection.

My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and solution-focused. I believe meaningful change happens when couples feel emotionally safe enough to be honest with one another while learning practical skills they can apply in everyday life. In this group, you'll gain evidence-based communication tools, opportunities to practice new skills, and encouragement from other couples who are also committed to growing their relationships.

I believe every couple can learn healthier ways to communicate. When partners feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe, they create a stronger foundation for lasting connection. My hope is that you'll leave this group with greater confidence, practical relationship tools, and a renewed sense of partnership that extends well beyond our eight weeks together.
